About the author

Tanya Zuñiga is a first-generation Mexican American author whose work explores identity, memory, and the stories we inherit. Inspired by her community, her students, and her own family, her writing centers women’s voices and the emotional truths that shape who we become.

She lives in San Diego with her high school sweetheart—now husband—their daughter, their 11-year-old pug Hermes, and Nova, their michi.

Her debut novel, Threads of Her Braid, reflects these themes through an intergenerational story rooted in culture, resilience, and connection.

She loves connecting with readers through book clubs, social media, and community events.
